EmComMap was designed to help emergency communicators operate effectively over mesh networks while providing the situational awareness that only a map can provide.

EmComMap is open source software. It runs in the web browser, and relies on an external map tile server and a CouchDB database server (except in standalone mode).

The mode of operation is based on that of the Amateur Radio Emergency Service. Messages have precedence (Routine, Priority, Emergency), operators have both permanent and tactical callsigns, and all operators can see all message traffic.

EmComMap is written in HTML and Javascript.
